Santa’s Little Helper (the postman) dropped by my office this morning and presented me with a little brown box. Let’s take a peek at what was inside…
Santa* knew I’d been a good girl this year and so he treated me to some Rifle Paper goodies from the states. With the 30% off offer on Black Friday, he’d hoped he’d got a really good deal.
It wasn’t until the order was placed, he suddenly noticed that the shipping was via Fedex; they can charge the recipient a minimum of £12 if the items are to be taxed by customs on the way into the UK. ‘Oh No!’ said Santa. He quickly emailed Rifle Paper Co, but it was too late, he couldn’t cancel the order.
Santa sighed and accepted that this would be a, ‘you live and you learn,’ scenario. He was gutted knowing that it might have been cheaper to just buy these things in the UK. Oh well… Ho Ho Ho and all that. So Santa cheered himself up, and had a cup of tea while he waited for the delivery to arrive.
Fast forward to today… The items arrived at their destination and guess what… there were no additional charges! Wooo hooo!! Rifle Paper had decided to send me the items as a gift and Santa jumped for joy!
*Disclaimer: It wasn’t Santa really, because obviously Santa doesn’t give gifts early! This treat was from me to me, with thanks to Rifle Paper for their 30% off on Black Friday. Yipppee!
Such a lovely parcel of stationery! I love Rifle Paper Co., and that seems like the perfect self-gift for the holidays. Good job, “Santa”! 🙂
Hehe Santa said thanks! Rifle paper is so pretty, I wish it was widely available here. You can only get it from really obscure tiny shops which are a million miles away from no where. If I ever opened up a shop I’d stick it bang in the middle of London and make sure I’d stock lots of their pieces… what a lovely dream…
